Tweets: AI Overviews Now Show Up When People Search Your Brand Name. Refresh These Pages First.

  1. Chris Long tested about 100 brand names at the end of September. 93% of them now trigger an AI Overview. DemandSphere says branded AI Overviews tripled in September. Google is summarizing your company before anyone clicks. [LINK]

  2. Your brand search used to be the one results page you could count on. Homepage on top, sitelinks under it, click is yours. Now Google writes a summary of you first, and it pulls from whatever pages it trusts. [LINK]

  3. Outdated pricing is the most common brand error we find. If your pricing page still lists last year's plans, that can end up in the AI Overview when someone searches your name. [LINK]

  4. That 2023 "Introducing our new Starter plan" post is probably still indexed and still says $9. Google can quote it in your brand AI Overview. Update it or redirect it. [LINK]

  5. 30-minute brand audit: search your name, then "[brand] pricing," "[brand] reviews," "[brand] vs [competitor]," and "is [brand] legit." Screenshot every AI Overview and trace each error back to its source. [LINK]

  6. A product page with a hero image and a "Get started" button gives Google nothing to quote. One solid paragraph on what the feature does and who uses it is often enough. [LINK]

  7. Check Search Console for queries containing your brand name. If a 2022 blog post gets more branded impressions than your product page, that's the page Google trusts to describe you. Full breakdown: [LINK]
